Walter "Barney" McDonald Archibald was born on September 21st, 1922 in Craik SK,Canada along with twin brother Willis to parents Wesley Alexander Gordon Archibald and Alice Elizabeth Mckay. Barney had two brothers, Willis "Wink" Macbeth, Hugh Gordon and two sisters, Ida May (Black) and Edna Joyce. Barney served in WWII along with his father and brothers.
Barney married Joan Archibald and together they had three children: Margaret Alton, Tom Archibald and Bruce Archibald.
Barney passed away on September 7th, 2014 in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 91 years, 11 months. He was predeceased by his twin brother Willis, wife Joan, brother Hugh, Sister Ida and his daughter-in-law Euphemia. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Tom (Henrietta), Bruce (Ginette) Archibald and daughter Margaret (Alton); grandchildren Elan, Benjamin (Danielle), Nathalie (Leslie) and sister Joyce along with numerous nephews, nieces and family.
