David Wayne Ford

of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away on the 27 April 2012, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on 12 June 1948 to Rodney and Nadine Dee (Frost) Ford Morgan in Neodesha, Kansas. He graduated from the Neodesha High School, class of 1966. He spent 26 + years in the Air Force/Tulsa Air National Guard, which included a tour in the Vietnam War. David married Jo Ann (Knapp) Horan on 11 Nov 1978, in the Manti Temple, Manti, Utah. They lived in Bartlesville, OK area for over 13 years and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah area in 1995 He received his associates degree in math from Tulsa Junior College in 1988. After retiring from the military he worked for the United Stationers Supply Company in Salt Lake City, Utah for 15 years.

He is survived by his sister, Carole Ford and nephew, Martin Ford, of Bartlesville OK., children David W. (Katie) Ford, II of Germany, Sean ( Amy) Horan, Mary Jo (David) Dunlop, and grandchildren, Tanner Horan, Berkley Horan, Carson Horan of Utah and two week old Eliza Jane Ford of Germany.

David was an avid sports fan, especially BYU basketball (his favorite player being Noah Hartsock), fishing, family, oldie music, old cowboy movies, root beer floats, and friends. David joined the LDS Church in 1975 and has remained a very faithful member ever since. He was a High Priest and went on a service mission with his wife to the Utah State Prison. He was always willing to help anyone throughout his life, even strangers who needed roadside help. He loved giving the LDS missionaries rides to where ever they wanted to go. He will be missed by all who knew him.
