He was preceded in death by his mother Imogene and his sister Helen Jean Spleth. He was survived by his three sons, William Perry Ruth and wife Beverly, Jerry Eugene Ruth and wife Denise, John Michael Ruth and wife Terri; Grandchildren, Natalie, Andy, Spencer, Jessica, Diana, Matthew, Leslie, Collin, Austin and Evan; and four great-grandchildren. There was a gathering for family and friends on Thursday, February 7, 2013, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Buchanan Funeral Service in Oklahoma City.
