Douglas Raymond Gensterblum Gaylord Formerly of Portland, MI Age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 17, 2013. He was born on December 16, 1967 in Ionia, MI the son of Lloyd and Sharon (Fletcher) Gensterblum. Douglas was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Gaylord, was an avid Notre Dame and Detroit Tigers fan, enjoyed watching NASCAR (especially Mark Martin), and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Preceding him in death were his father, Lloyd, and his grandparents. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Sharon (Lewis) Hagle of Eagle; brother, Rick (Sherri) Gensterblum of Portland; niece, Amber Gensterblum; nephews, Randy (his godson), Colin and Cory Gensterblum; step siblings, Cindy (Scott) Evans, and their children Katelyn, Lacey and Cameron Evans, and Steve (Monica) Hagle, and their daughter, Franchesca Hagle. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Larry King at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 22, 2013 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Portland. Rite of Committal will take place at Most Holy Trinity Cemetery, Fowler. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Lehman Funeral Homes, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.lehmanfuneralhomes.com.
