Mrs. Poppie Bailey, 79, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at McGuffey.
She was born Sept. 10, 1880 in Maguffin County, Kentucky. She is survived by three sons, Kelly and John of Route 1, Alger and Alkie of McGuffey; three daughters, Mrs. Arthur Tabor of Chelsie, Mich.; Mrs. Margaret Conley of Dola and Mrs. Lovanda Reffitt of McGuffey.
Mrs. Bailey was living with her daughter, Mrs. Reffitt, at the time of her death.
There are also two sisters, Mrs. Kate Napier of Waynesfield; Mrs. Vinnie Whitaker of Alger; a brother, John Wireman of Waynesfield; 53 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Hanson Funeral Home in Alger, with Rev. George Hurt officiating. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery.
