Clifford D. Parker

MULLINS Clifford D. Parker, 90, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at Marion County Medical Center after an illness.

He was born Nov. 6, 1912, in Horry County, a son of the late John Hooker Parker and Helen Ray Parker.

He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Red Hill Southern Methodist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Maggie Dae Benton of Andrews; two special nieces, Jean Martin of Aynor and Esther Lewis of Mullins; and several other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Flora Tarte Mew and Lena Bell Lewis Brown; and a brother, Henry Heyward Parker.

The family would like to thank two special nurses with Marion Nursing Center, Patricia King and Wanda Saunders.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today at Red Hill Southern Methodist Church. The Rev. Rawlin Booth will officiate. Burial will be in Galivants Ferry Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cox-Collins Funeral Home is in charge.
