Adaline Amalia Emily Dohse, 88, of Twin Falls, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, after a lingering illness. She was born Dec. 24, 1918, at home in Buhl, Idaho, to her parents, Edwin F. Thaemert and Thekla Louise Niemeyer.

Adaline was baptized into God's kingdom at the Clover Lutheran Church in Buhl and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Twin Falls. She was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kimberly; a member at Peace Lutheran Church in Filer; and currently a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Twin Falls. Her Christian faith in the Lord was very important to her.

She attended Clover Lutheran School and various schools in Twin Falls.

She married Erhard Dohse on Nov. 17, 1939, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Twin Falls. They met at a church function and were married for 58 years. He died in 1997.

In recent years, Adaline had a lifelong special friend and companion, Marlin Ruhter.

Adaline was raised and lived her life in the Twin Falls area and was a dedicated wife, mother and home- maker. She loved to garden and always had beautiful flowers. She loved crocheting and making quilts until her eyesight failed her. Her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She retired from Idaho Frozen Foods.

Her surviving children include Shirley (Henry) Schutte of Eden, Gary Dohse of Federal Way, Wash., Bonnie (Robert) Gillespie of Twin Falls, Kenneth (Diann) Thaete of Twin Falls and Becky Dohse Weeks of Jerome; one brother, Ewald Thaemert of Twin Falls; 15 grandchildren and their spouses; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Erhard; a son, Roger; a granddaughter, Angela; and her sister, Lucila Erickson.
