Blaine Gilbert Borchers was the fifth and youngest son of Earl Conrad Borchers and Grace Andrea Trimble. He was born in 1936, two years after his brother Bryce died of Luekemia. He grew up living at 2318 West Circle Drive in St. Joseph, Missouri with his brother and two sisters. He had an older brother, Clay (Earl Clay Borchers), a sister, Wilma (Wilma Juanita Borchers), and an older sister Roen (Roen Virginia Borchers). Blaine attended Central High School in St. Joseph, MO. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1954 at the age of 18 and on 24 February, 1956, he was promoted to the grade of Airman Second Class. He was honorably discharged in Feb of 1957. He married Mary Barbara Holbert who lived across the street from him growing up on Jan 22, 1960. This union would produce four children, Elizabeth Grace born in Sept of 1960. Catherine Marie born in July of 1963, Robert Thomas born in May of 1967, and Ann Marie born in Sept of 1968.

Blaine and Barbara lived in St. Joseph on Patee Street and then in 1964 they lived at 2519 Faraon Street. Blaine was a salesman for General Mills and got transferred to Witchita, Kansas for about a year. in 1959 till 1963, Blaine and Barb moved to Maryville, Missouri so Blaine could go to school at Northwest State University for a couple years where Blaine majored in Business administration with a minor in accounting.

In 1963, Blaine got a job with General Mills, where he started in the Bakery Flour division and serviced four states. Blaine then moved back to St. Joseph, Missouri before being transferred to Des Moines, Iowa for a year. Blaine was then transferred to Minneapolis by General Mills where he became the Assistant District Manager in the Food Service Division and serviced six states. Blaine and Barb raised their children in Golden Valley and then in 1966 moved to 4733 Drew Avenue South in Minneapolis where they lived for five years. They had moved nine times in seven years before landing in Minneapolis. After a few years in Mpls, Blaine got a job with Kraft Foods as a sales coordinator. Blaine was in charge of seven salesmen and of selling food to institutions and food managers in MN and did all the ordering for the local warehouses.

Blaine then took a job with Lever Brothers where he sold Lever Brothers complete line of health and beauty and soaps to retail stores and warehouses. Blaine also worked for Golden Hills Liquor where he was part owner and for Isis Foods.

In March of 1970, Blaine married Vivian Larson from South Dakota. Blaine and Vivian lived in Minneapolis for a couple years before relocating to Kansas City, Missouri. Once in Kansas City, Blaine got his realtors license and became a real estate agent. On September 15, 1982, Blaine completed the basic Sales Training Program at Eugene Brown Realators. He then began working for ReMax where he won several awards. In May of 1994, Blaine was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and he moved back up to Brooklyn Center to be near his children. He died on Sunday, July 9th, 1995 at his home in Brooklyn Center, at the age of 59.
