OZARK... Boyd Monk, 77, of Ruby Street, Ozark, died early Thursday morning, May 13, 1993 at his home following an extended illness.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (May 15) from the Holman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Nichols and the Rev. Phil Craddock officiating. Interment followed in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

Mr. Monk was a native of Dale County where he was a member of the Browns United Methodist Church at Echo where he has served as its treasurer for the past 25 years and was serving on the Administrative Board of the church. He was the Railway Express agent in Ozark for 33 years and served five years in Dothan until his retirement. Mr. Monk was a member of the Woodman of the World.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elna C. Monk of Ozark; one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Faye Monk, Seneca, SC; three grandchildren, Steve Boyd Monk, Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ, Miss Angie Monk, a student at Auburn University and Miss Ashley Monk, Seneca, SC.
