POCAHONTAS --- Funeral service for Mrs. Margaret Etha Fortune, 79, were at 2 p.m. today at Shackelford Funeral Home with the Rev. Sikes and Rev. Sam Howell officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Fortune died at the Tippah County General Hospital in Ripley, Miss.
She was a Methodist.
Surviving are her husband, Percy Fortune of Pocahontas; three foster sons, J. D. Young of Knoxville, Charles Claude Smith of Bolivar, and James W. Klinck of Pocahontas; three foster daughters, Mrs. Maudie Smith of Memphis, Mrs. Nelson Lipford of Middleton, and Mrs. Travis Paseur of Ripley, Miss., three brothers, James McAlpin of Ramer, Eric McAlpin of Middleton, and G. A. McAlpin of Pocahantas; a sister, Mrs. Joe Coleman of Jackson.
