Cherokee. Wife of Rev. Leonidas Dobson buried here. Parents of 5 children. Dau. of Nancy Jane [Patrick] & Noah Lillard,(d.1865)
The Tahlequah Arrow (Tahlequah, Oklahoma) - Saturday, January 5, 1907
Mrs. Sallie Dobson, wife of Rev. L. Dobson, passed from us at her home near Eureka, I. T., December 31, 1906, being 42 years old. She had been a faithful member of the Presbyterian church for ten years; was a mother of five children, who, with a bereaved husband, survive her. How comforting to know she will not sleep forever in the lone and silent grave, for in God's own good time we will meet her in the "Sweet Bye and Bye" when partings and tears are no more. The funeral was preached by the writer at the residence before a large audience of sorrowing neighbors and relatives, and we laid her away to rest in the Gourd cemetery, by the side of her mother of precious memory....J.
