Tenness was the mother of Turner, John Ross and Elizabeth. Her husband was John A.Bynum he died in Mississippi prior to removal. She was daughter of Maj James Colbert & Susan James aka Susanna James. Tenness is a sister to James Isaac Colbert. The photo you see here is a Large family monument. I put it back together this month 12/05/12. This monument has small markers surrounding it. the Chickasaw tribe removed brush + Trees and fenced this cemetery 5/01/13

beloved wife Tenness - one negro woman Kisnader and her four children: Emaline, Isaac, Charles and Rebecca; household and kitchen furniture.
Beloved sons Turner Bynum and John R. Bynum - negro man Jeffery, man Isaac, woman Amy and her daughter Jane, a girl Patience, boy Booker, boy Josiah. To wife and sons - land whereon I now live; all other land wife to have free and entire use of house and cleared lands, horses, cattle, etc. to sons. Exrs: Friends, Thomas Colbert, Joseph Colbert, William D. Bynum and wife Tennessee.
