Funeral services for Mr. Wilburn Lee Cargle, Sr. of Atlanta, will be held Tuesday, February 23, at 2 p.m. from Parkway Garden Chapel with Rev. Richard Barnes officiating. Interment Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Cargle was born March 2, 1932 in Lindale, Ga. He was retired as the owner of Lee Tree Service in Metro Atlanta with he owned for over 32 years. Known to many people as (MR. LEE), he was known for his honesty, loyalty and genoristy to all of his family, friends, customers and his business associates.

He was a faithful and active member of the Church of Christ for over 30 years. He loved people especially children. He served as a foster parent with Georgia Agape for eight years, he served his country in the Korean War in the Army. He was so very proud of his service, he entered the Army at age 15, he had several medals and awards.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Mealor Cargle, also known as Mickey of Atlanta, sons, Lee, Jr., Plainsville, Ga.; Robert, Steve, Rodney and Chris of Atlanta, foster son, Charles McConnell of Atlanta, daughters, Kathy Russell, Forest Park, Cheryl Middlebrooks, Jonesboro; Kelly Fagan, Atlanta; Janet Reynolds, College Park; Lori Cargle, Jonesboro, 21 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, sister, Gaynell Huckaby, Silver Creek, Ga., brothers, Reno Cargle, Rome; Ed Cargle, and Raymond Cargle of Smyrna, Melvin Cargle, Kennesaw, Daniel Cargle, Social Circle and Marvin Cargle, Woodstock, brother and sisters-in-law, Craig and Elaine (Mealor) Loveless, Forest Park; Glynn and LaVerne (Mealor) Weaver, Flowery Branch, Ga., scores of beloved nieces, nephews and foster children. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 2 til 4 p.m. and 7 til 9 p.m., Monday.
