Vernon Jiles Chism 91 of Lexington, husband of Evelyn Gladys Stone Chism died Friday, February 26, 1999 at his home. Born in Winchester, he was a son of the late Thornt and Allie Adams Chism. He was a retired machinist for General Electric Corporation and a WW ll veteran of the U. S. Army. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Vernon Jiles Chism Jr., and Harold Eugene Chism; and a granddaughter Frances Landrum. Funeral services will be 1 pm. Tuesdav at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 pm. Monday. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 23l2 Alexandria Drive, Lexington 40504.
