Death Yesterday Morning of Mrs. Lambert Anderson

Mrs. Lambert Anderson, a long time resident of the Argo community
passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Christensen,
Wednesday morning, Oct. 4, 1944, at the age of 76 years, 3 months
and 19 days.

As Mary Peterson, daughter of Hans and Martha Peterson, she was
born on June 15, 1868 at Moline, Ills. coming to Nebraska with her
parents at the age of three years. She attended the rural schools
and as a young woman worked in several homes also engaging in the
millinery business in Oakland for some time.

On June 5, 1907, she was united in marriage to Lambert Anderson and
they took up their home on a farm north of Oakland where they lived
for 6 years before settling near Argo.

Surviving to mourn her passing are her husband, Lambert Anderson of
Craig; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Christensen of Hooper, whose
daughter Marvel, is the only grandchild; one son, Lowell of
Tekamah; three sisters, Mrs. Chauncey Rogers of Wessington, S. D.;
Mrs. Nels Morell of Fairpoint S. D. , and Mrs. Wm. F. Johnson of
Tecumseh; and several nephews and nieces.

Short services will be held at the Wollmer and Warne funeral home
at Hooper at 1:15 Sunday afternoon. followed by services at the
Uehling Congregational church at 2 o'clock with Rev. Arthur Swanson
of Oakland officiating. Burial will be in the Argo cemetery.
