Ruth E. Harney
Ruth Ethel Harney, a retired school teacher, died Saturday in a local hospital at age 72. She lived at 2615 SE Courtney Road.
Mrs. Harney was born Nov. 28, 1899, in Dardanelle, Ark., and had lived in Oregon since 1937. A graduate of Southern Oregon College, Mrs. Harney taught elementary school for 19 years and retired in 1965.
She was a memeber of the North Clackamas Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include a son, Richard Eugene Brame, Portland; brothers Cecil C. Cook, Goleta, Calif., and R. Elton, Sante Fe, N.M., and a sister, Mrs. Ron Lake, California.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Portland Memorial Funeral Home, with vault commital in Portland Memorial Mausoleum.
