She grew up in Colchester, CT and resided in Old Saybrook, Westbrook, and Killingworth. She worked for L.L. Doane's in Essex for over 5 years, and volunteered her time at the Old Saybrook Estuary Council thrift Shop.
Myra is predeceased by her daughter Jessie Briggs and son Raymond (Billy) Briggs
