David Rhulayne (Rudy) Arnette was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the proud parents of David and Elizabeth Arnette, on October 21, 1961. He attended and graduated from Dillard High School, as a member of the Class of 1979. He was an avid music lover. He served as a Drum Major and was even recognized in the 1978-79 publication of Who's Who in Music. Upon graduating from Dillard, he decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corp and eventually served in Desert Storm. Rudy served in the Marine Corp for 13 years.
After leaving the military, Rudy was hired at Broward General Medical Center, where he worked nine years as a Storeroom Manager.
Rudy accepted Christ as a child and was baptized by former New Mount Olive Baptist Church Senior Pastor, the late Rev. G. E. Weaver. He enjoyed and faithfully served as a member of the Media Ministry. Rudy was performing his duties as a member of the Media Ministry when the Lord decided to call him home.
He was an active member of McBride Lodge #390 PHA and SABA Temple #186.
David Rhulayne (Rudy) Arnette is survived by his mother Elizabeth Arnette; one brother, Jerome Maben (Tamara) from Troy, Ml; seven sisters - Linda, Margaret from Greensboro, NC, LaRose Newton from Colombia, MD; Angela, Katerri Johnson (Louis) from Port St. Lucie, FL; Stacey, and Karen Gardner. He also had three children - Thomas, David Emmanual, and Artavia Anita; two grandchildren - Christina Jackson and Ta'Ryah Alexia Murphy. One living uncle, Willie (Mary) Arnett; two aunts Vera Mae Ellison and Betty Arnett. Two special friends... like a brother Deacon Andrew Williams (Patrecia) and Yvette Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rudy was preceded in death by his father, David Arnette
