Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Cassels Taylor, age 61 of Olla, will be 11AM Friday, November 6, 2009 from the sanctuary of Rosefield Baptist Church in Rosefield with Bro. John Norwood and Bro. Joel Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Rosefield Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening at Riser Funeral Home in Olla from 5PM to 9PM. Mrs. Taylor was born in Columbia on October 30, 1948 to the union of Johnny and Ira Holmes Cassels and passed from this life on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at LSU Medical Center in Monroe. She was a homemaker and a member of Straight Road Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter; Ashley Brooke Taylor, two brothers: Ronald Cassels and Alfred Cassels, four sisters: Iris Cassels, Gwendolyn Cassels, Rose Ganey and Anita Harrell and great-nephew; Dalton Meredith. Survivors include her husband; James Taylor, Jr. of Olla, three sons: Gavin Prudhomme and wife, Tonya of Olla, Joey Prudhomme and wife, Mildred of Olla and James Taylor, III and wife, Sonya of Oak Grove, daughter; Rhonda Wise and husband, Brian of Olla, brother; J.L. Cassels and wife, Anne of Summerville, two sisters: Janet Bratton and husband, Rodger and Theresa Jameson and husband, Ronnie both of Olla, nine grandchildren: Jed Laird, Allison Prudhomme, Ethan Prudhomme, Whitney Prudhomme, Carli Prudhomme, Jonathan Taylor, Kaitlin Hatten, Cullen Wise and Austin Wise and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Gavin Prudhomme, Joey Prudhomme, James, Taylor, III, Jed Laird, Jonathan Taylor, Brian Wise, Ronnie Jameson and J.L. Cassels. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior "Al" Cassels, Lee Bratton, Justin Meredith, Rodger Bratton and Ethan Prudhomme.
