Born November 22, 1895, at Liberal, Kansas. Son of Jay G. and Cenia Tarrant Adelmeyer. Married Iwalani Bemrose at Honolulu June 29, 1924. Children: Doneym Rea (Mrs. William C. Johnson), and Judy Rea.
Mr. Adelmeyer served in the famed Rainbow Division in France during World War I. From 1924 to 1947, he was an officer and subsequently President and Owner of the Universal Motor Company, Ltd., and from 1945 until his retirement in 1952, he was President and Owner of the Universal Equipment Company Ltd.
He is a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shrine Aloha Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, Oahu Country Club, Pacific Club, past President of the Retail Board of the Honolulu Chamber of Commerce, past Director of the American Red Cross, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Queen's and Leahi Hospitals and the Blood Bank of Hawaii.
