Funeral for Patricia "Patty" L. Joachim, a lifelong resident of the Portland area, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Young's Funeral Home, Tigard.

Mrs. Joachim died Jan. 27, 2004, in an Oregon City hospital after a five-year battle with cancer. She was 52.

She was born April 11, 1951, daughter of James N. and Patricia C. Baughman. She graduated from Tigard High School in 1969 and had been a telephone technican at Portland Community College, where she was employed from 1975 to November 2003.

She and Ronald Joachim were married Oct. 31, 1986, in Hillsboro. Mrs. Joachim loved her cat, "K.C.," and Disneyland.

Survivors include her mother of Tigard; a sister, Barb J. Yandon of Newberg; two stepsons, David Joachim of McMinnville and Steve Joachim of California; four stepdaughters, Shara Bogan, Carla Gertz and Donita Thurman, all of Portland, and Debbie Ravinius of Sisters; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
