Carmel J. Adams, 53, Waukegan, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her home. She was born May 11, 1959, in Howard County, to Leon and Delinia (Bell) Fields. On October 1, 1985, she married Ronald Adams, and he survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Joseph (Amy) Fields Sr., Florida and Adam Adams, Waukegan, Illinois; one special daughter, Latricia Ewing, Florida; three grandchildren, Joseph Fields Jr., Jailin Fields, and Jaila Fields; one brother, Ricky R. Fields, Kokomo; two sisters, Jacqueline (Jim) Webb and Beverly J. Thomas, Kokomo; one uncle, George Bell; and one aunt, Margaret Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Ella Marie (Fields) Johns, Vickie (Fields) Dawson, and Deborah Fields.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 1599 E. Sycamore, Kokomo, with Pastor Lonnie Anderson presiding. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Messages of condolence may be expressed online at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
