Deborah Ann Albright, 60, of Kokomo, passed away at 9:45 PM, Saturday, December 1, 2012, in St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. Born December 1, 1952, in Kokomo, she is the daughter of John William Albright and the late Gladys (Shufflebotham) Albright. Debbie was a 1970 graduate of Northwestern High School and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Indiana University. She was employed as a cartographer for the U.S. Forest Service from 1973 to 2004, receiving many awards for her work. Debbie was a longtime member of NAAFA. She was also the 1970 recipient of the Betty Crocker Homemaker award; her love of cooking and other crafts like making greeting cards, brought joy to others throughout her life.
Survivors include her father John William Albright of Kokomo; one brother John William (wife-Diana E.) Albright Jr. of Indianapolis; one sister Kathy J. (husband-Rodney) Merrell of Indianapolis; two nieces Jennifer Merrell and Michelle Merrell; two great nephews Jack and Preston Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
A memorial visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2012, in Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the mortuary.
