Thomas Brown BROOKSHIER was born on 2 Dec 1830 in Ray Co., Missouri. He died on 9 Mar 1889 in Sampsel Twp, Livingston, Missouri. "He was laid to rest in the private family burial ground near the old homestead." (Past and Present of Livingston County, 1913, page 324.) His death record (at the Livingston Co. Courthouse) records his place of burial as "on his own farm." Now called the Brookshier Cemetery, it is located about three miles east of Lock Springs. He was buried in Brookshier Cemetery, Livingston Co., Missouri. He joined a group headed for California, leaving Livingston Co. on April 29, 1849. Parents: Levan Wright BROOKSHIER and Mary Elizabeth BROWN.

Spouse: Elizabeth Susan BROOKS. Thomas Brown BROOKSHIER and Elizabeth Susan BROOKS were married on 23 Aug 1860. Children were: Jefferson Davis BROOKSHIER, John Levan BROOKSHIER, Rachel E. BROOKSHIER, Margaret Matilda BROOKSHIER, Robert B. BROOKSHIER, Emmett BROOKSHIER, Thomas McFarlan BROOKSHIER, Mary Venus BROOKSHIER.

Spouse: Amanda J. DAVIS. Thomas Brown BROOKSHIER and Amanda J. DAVIS were married on 5 Oct 1885. Children were: Ralph BROOKSHIER.
