"Vona [sic] Adkins, 82 of Alkol, Lincoln County died Monday in Madison General Hospital, after a short illness. She was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County and a member Left Fork Baptist Church at Alkol. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. John Thompson and Mrs. Frank Thompson, both of Logan, Mrs. Elza Gartin of Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Joe Gurskie of Nellis and Mrs. Emory; sons, Watt of Logan, Roy of Julian, Homer of Chicago, and Hubert of Alkol; two brothers, Emzy Miller of Madison and Joe Miller of Logan: 50 grand children; and 25 great-grand-children. Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Left Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Estep and Rev. E. W. Conner officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery at Mud. The body will be taken from Curry Funeral Home at Alum Creek at S p.m. today to the home and to the church at the service time."
