He was born Jan. 10, 1910, at Lyons, the son of James and Mary Elisabeth Gaddy Strader. A lifetime Lyons resident, he was a retired
City of Lyons employee.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
On Oct. 1,1933, he married Ruth Underwood at Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: a daughter-in-law, Geraldine Strader, Kansas City, Kan.; four grandchildren, Lancelot Strader, Wichita, Kathleen Strader-Rappel, Washington D.C., Todd Jerome Strader, Augusts. Ga., and Rhett D. Strader, Kansas City, Mo.; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons, with the Rev. Robert Friesen presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons.
Memorials may be sent to the Center for Basic Cancer Research or to the Emphysema Foundation, both in care of the funeral home.
