Obituary courtesy Ann Erdman:

Bertha Weirauch Kleiner
Mrs. Bertha Kleiner, 74, died at 9 p.m. Monday, January 12, 1948 in Wallace Hospital where she had been a patient for three months. She had been in failing health for about three years.

Rosary services were at 7:30 Tuesday evening at Palmer Funeral Home and funeral services were at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the Catholic church. Burial was at the Catholic cemetery.

Bertha Weirauch was born in Dulchdorf, Germany. She came in early womanhood to Laclede County with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodor Weirauch, who settled on the farm just east of Lebanon, now the home of Miss Martha Weirauch.

She was married to Edward Kleiner in 1897 and they established their home in Lebanon. Mr. Kleiner's death occurred about 17 years ago.

Mrs. Kleiner leaves a daughter, Mrs. J.H. Easley, and three sons, Paul and Karl Kleiner of Lebanon and Valentine Kleiner of St. Louis. There are 8 grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. Vic Koby, and a son, Edward, preceded her in death.

Miss Martha Weirauch, her sister, is the last of that family.

Mrs. Kleiner was a woman devoted to her home and her family and as long as her health permitted was a faithful attendant at church services.
