LAUREL PARK-Dorothy Jones Drew, 80, of Laurel Park passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, NC.
A native of Cleveland, MS, she was a daughter of the late Myrl and Sadie Barrentine Jones. She retired from IBM in 1987 after 28 years of service, and was an actor and director of the Hendersonville Little Theatre and Belfry Players.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Drew. Surviving are her children, John Smartt and his wife, Patricia, of Sterrett, AL, Tracy M. Smartt of Mt. Shasta, CA, and Timothy Smartt and his wife, Leslie, of San Francisco, CA; siblings, Kenneth Jones, Myrl Jones, Jr., Jerry Jones and Larry Jones; grandchildren, 13, and great grandchildren, 6.A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on October 18th at the Elks Club of Hendersonville, NC.
