Obituary, Bakersfield Californian, December 21, 1964

BASHER, Lillian Ann - Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday in Payne and Sons Chapel for Lillian Basher, 70, of 2315 19th St., who died Dec. 18 in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. J. Wesley Farr, pastor of the First Methodist Church will officiate and interment will follow in the Haven of Rest section in Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Basher was a native of Little Rock, Ark. and had resided in Bakersfield and California for 52 years. She was a member of the First Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Guy G. Basher, and a daughter, Dorothy Ellen Rother, both of Bakersfield; one brother, J. W. Hill of Bell Gardens; one sister, Mrs. Violet Ballew of South San Gabriel and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be B. J. Rother, George Maness, Odis Freeman, Wayne Hamilton, Randolph Carpenter and Harold Crider.

Memorial services for Lillian were held at Allen Funeral Chapel on September 21, 1968, officiated by Rev. I. C. York.
