Rosemary A. Graddy
Rosemary A. Graddy of Bourbon, Mo. passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2001 at the age of 74 years. Mrs. Graddy was born on October 24, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Patrick and Catherine (Hartle) Foley. She was raised in Chicago, later moved to St. Louis, and eventually settled in Bourbon in 1953. On December 1, 1956 Rosemary was united in marriage to Cecil A. Graddy in Hernando, Mississippi. During her adult years, she primarily served her family as a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. Rosemary was a longtime member of the First Assembly of God in Bourbon. She found pleasure in baking, sewing, and crocheting. For many years she was known for baking wedding cakes and other "all occasion" items. Rosemary will be lovingly remembered and cherished as a God-fearing woman who was very patient and easygoing. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Graddy of Bourbon; one son, James Madison and wife, Trish of Bourbon; five daughters, Barbara Ivey and husband, James of Kernersville, North Carolina, Darlene Parker and husband, John of Bourbon, Roseanne Shepherd and husband, Wendell of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Linda Chick and husband, James of Bowling Green, Mo., and Angel Monda and husband, Ron of Cuba, Mo.; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Graddy was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Graddy and one grandson, Doug Parker. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2001 from the First Assembly of God in Bourbon with Pastor Harold Harrison officiating. Interment was in Lea Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made to the Children's Ministries of the First Assembly of God in Bourbon in memory of Mrs. Rosemary Graddy. All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Chapel in Bourbon.
