OBITUARY:

VV. A. TILLINGHAST’S MOTHER SUCCUMBS

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday from the chapel of the O'Leary Funeral Home, Sebastopol, for Mrs. Daisy Mae Tillinghast, the mother of Wilmer A. Tillinghast, Jr. of Healdsburg. Mrs. Tillinghast died Feb. 12 in a Santa Rosa hospital after a long illness. A native of Pennsylvania, she was 84 years old. She had lived in Santa Rosa since 1922 and was a member of the Santa Rosa Christian Church. She also is survived by her sons Richard M. Tillinghast of Fresno, Harold A. Tillinghast of Sebastopol, Stephen A. Tillinghast of New York and Robert J. Tillinghast of Sebastopol; bv her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Waters of Santa Rosa; by her sister, Lottie Phillips and her brother, Jay Richards, both of Pennsylvania and by 30 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Burial will be at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
