Obit - ANDERSON (Casnovia) Carl Franklin Anderson, age 73, passed away with family by his side on October 10, 2010. Carl was a lifelong farmer and was last farming for Swanson Pickle Co. of Ravenna . Carl was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Luella Sorrick Anderson; son, Curt Portenga; sister, Betty. He is survived by sons, Tim & Carol Anderson, Scott & Lisa Portenga; daughters, Marlo Anderson-Wolter & Nick Hill, Kimberly & Hector Melendez; daughter in-law, Jennifer Portenga; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Dorothy Carlson; several nieces and nephews; many close friends. Funeral services will be held at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Kent City on Wednesday, October 13 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Kevin Gueteshow officiating. Friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and on Wednesday at the Church one hour prior to service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
