Tirzah Kimball was born August 14, 1800 the daughter of Ebenezer and Polly (Aiken) Kimball of New Chester, now Hill, NH. She married Rev. Amos W. Burnham the son of Deacon Samuel and Mrs. Mary (Perkins) Burnham, soon after his ordination in 1821. Tirzah was his devoted wife and loving mother of their five children. The Burnham's had five children who were born between 1823 and 1835. The family lived at the Rindge Congregational Parsonage, Rev. Burnham was the minister of the Rindge Congregational Church for 46 years. His tenure was concluded in November of 1867. Rev. Burnham died April 9, 1871. Mrs. Burnham died at the home of her daughter in Keene November 13, 1888, aged 88 years.
