Lola Fay Bravenec, otherwise known as "Curly", age 81, went to the Lord peacefully, surrounded by her family on October 1, 2011. She and her twin sister were born in Plainview, Texas, October 30, 1929, to J.H. Emmons and Ocie Opal Harris. She earned her nickname over the years from her curly locks. She moved with her family to Washington state in 1932. She met and shortly after married Frank Bravenec Junior May 22, 1948 in Vancouver, WA. Spending most of her life in the Tri-Cities as a homemaker but had the opportunity to live all over Washington as their jobs changed. She and Frank were blessed with two sons, Robert and Bill and one daughter, Teresa. She raised her children to have respect for the Lord and his Word. Through all her life, she was an active Christian woman and touched many lives. She taught Sunday school and volunteered in the nursery at Quinalt Baptist Church and for the last 20 years at Hillview Baptist. She loved her church family, friends, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was known for her generous nature, love to visit and endless percolated coffee. She is survived by her sister, Francine Coleman of Kennewick; Aunt Marie Spade of Kennewick; Son, Robert Mary Bravenec of Benton City; Son, Bill Elaine Bravenec of Richland; Daughter, Teresa Bravenec of Grays Harbor and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents, J. H. Emmons and Ocie Opal Harris; Husband Frank Bravenec, Jr., Uncle Sam, Herschel, and Andrew Harris; Brother, Don Coleman Sr.; twin Sister, Lona May Tague; Brother-in-law, Cecil Tague and nephew Don Coleman Jr. Visitation will be at Mueller's Chapel of The Falls, 314 W. 1st. Ave., Kennewick, WA on Friday, October 7, 2011, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be held at Mueller's Chapel of The Falls on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:00am, followed by a graveside service at Riverview Heights Cemetery. There will be a Gathering of family and friends at the Hillview Baptist Church, 1621 W. 27th Ave. Kennewick.
