Funeral services for the late Earl C. Brown, vice president of the Mississippi Valley Structural Steel Co., and former manager of St. Louis plant of the company, who died after a brief illness at his home in St.Louis Wednesday, will be held in Decatur Friday. The body will be brought from St. Louis Friday and burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery.
The Decatur offices of the company will be closed Friday afternoon and the members of the staff will meet the train on which the body will arrive at 3 o'clock. Grave side services will be held at the cemetery.
Mr. Brown lived in Mattoon until he came to Decatur in 1907 and he leaves his wife and two daughters, Miss Nancy Starr Brown of St. Louis and Mrs. Betty Starr Lunn of Oklahoma, his parents, Mrs. & Mrs. E.S. Brown of near Trill, Ill. and two brothers, Wendell Brown of Mattoon and Dr. Oliver C.Brown of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
