PROMINENT ARTIST DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Ferd Gottschalk, one of the most prominent and best known artists, musicians and composers of Los Angeles, died at the Good Samaritan hospital last night after a short illness.
Mr. Gottschalk became ill with pneumonia some time ago and his death was caused as the direct result of heart disease brought on by this illness.
Mr. Gottschalk was the son of Judge Gottschalk, ten years ago one of the most prominent members of the Los Angeles bar. He was also a brother-in-law of J. Bond Francisco, the Los Angeles musician and artist.
