William H. Rollman, 43, of 2102 Edgewood Avenue, Schofield, Wisconsin, died Sunday, February 10, at the Wausau Hospital Center.
He was born in Chilton on February 25, 1941, son of Melvin and Ellen Rollman of Ohio.
He married Marie King on January 11, 1964, in Baltimore Maryland.
Mr. Rollman was a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Reserve and was the area switching service operations center supervisor for GTE’s northwestern Wisconsin district.
He served in Vietnam from 1967 – 69. He served in the Navy since 1960 and travelled around the world twice.
He was 4th degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus #4628 in Rothschild, Wisconsin, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8895, and the American Legion Montgomery Plant Post 10. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in Wisconsin.
He is survived by his parents; wife; three daughters, Diane Marie, Barbara Ann and Michelle Lynn, all at home; two brothers, Thomas, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Gary of Ohio; and two sisters, Mary Tracy of Ohio, and Ann Rollman of Sarasota, Florida.
The funeral will be Thursday at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Rothchild, with Rev. Peter Knippel officiating. Burial will be held in the springtime at St. Augustine Cemetery in Chilton.
