Essie Bayles, born 1899, was the daughter of Hezekiah Bayles and Missouri Dill. Records show that after her father was killed in an accident in 1906, Essie and her mother lived with her mother's family in Lawrence County, Missouri.
On 10 June 1918, Essie married Homer Wayman Shipman, a World War I veteran who died in 1943. On 25 September 1954, Essie remarried to widower Emery Mize. Emery died in 1958. There are no records showing that Essie had children.
Essie Bayles Shipman Mize died in 1979 where she was born and grew up- in Lawrence County, Missouri.
