Mrs. Gertrude M. BAER, 57, South Bend, died at 8:10 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's hospital, where she had been a patient for 10 days.
Mrs. Baer was born May 5, 1908 in South Bend to Clifford and Matilda PITTMAN STAINTON. She lived in South Bend for the past 14 years, moving from Tippecanoe. She was a member of the South Bend First Methodist church and was a past grand noble in the Tippecanoe Rebekah lodge. Mrs. Baer married Jasper A. BAER April 27, 1929 in South Bend.
Surviving with the husband are aunts and cousins.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Grossman funeral home in Argos with the Rev. James H. GARDNER officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Brethren church cemetery, southeast of Argos. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday.
