Ralph D. Silver
Ralph D. Silver, 89, of Wallowa, Oregon, died June 8, 2003 at the Wallowa Valley Care Center in Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon.
He was born January 3, 1914, on Grosse Flat in Wallowa County to Nathaniel Weldon Silver and Lelia Josephine Smith Silver. He married Juanita Mae Werst on September 12, 1936. She died Sept. 17, 2001.
He was a rancher. He was a member of the Wallowa Christian Church.
Mr. Silver enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and his family.
He was survived by his daughter, Donna Mae Johnston of Wallowa; son, Don Silver of Spokane; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A brother and three sisters died earlier.
A graveside service was held at 2 or 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at the Bramlet Cemetery near Wallowa. Pastor Don Silver officiated at the service. Special music was sung by the choir, "Take Me Back to the Wallowas," "Master of them All," and "The Traveler." Following the services, interment was in the Bramlet Cemetery.
Memorial contributions could be made to the charity of choice in care of Bollman Funeral Home, 315 W. Main St., Enterprise, Oregon 97828. Arrangements were entrusted to the Bollman Funeral Home.
