Colleen Mary Jolley (Simmons, nee Davis), age 68, made her transition on Friday January 10, 2014 at her home in Kuna, Idaho.
She was born on April 5, 1945 in Boise, Idaho, the last of the five children of Edwin and Mary Davis. She lived with her family on a farm in Mountain Home for her first five years and then on a farm in Tuttle, Idaho. She attend schools in Hagerman, Idaho. She married Robert Simmons on June 9, 1963. They lived in Boise where they raised their three children. On February 16, 2005 she married Gary Jolley and resided in Boise. In 2013 Colleen moved to Kuna.
Colleen was well known in the food industry from her many years of work as a food broker.
She was a kind and loving wife and a remarkably devoted and gentle mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her children so very dearly and they in turn loved her truly.
She loved the out-of-doors: she fished, hunted, camped and played golf. Bowling and gambling were sports she participated in with considerable skill and obvious joy; and, she loved her Boise State Bronco football team.
Living are her three children, Tod Shane (Chris) Simmons of West Jordan, Utah, Tonya Marie (David) Penning of Kuna, Idaho and Tiffany Ann (Kenneth) Degrange of Wasco, Oregon; and, her step-children, Dawnette Burkhalter, Bonnie Stalenski and Kyle Jolley.
Also living are her grandchildren Jessica Marie and Brian Paul Simmons; Seth Robert, Kayla Helen, Nathan Michael and Jacob Harold Penning; and Harley Jacob Fleming and Dillon Shane Simmons; and, Mike (Amber), Michelle and Joe Degrange; and great-grand children Jonathan David Penning, and Savanna and Mya Degrange.
Also living are her three sisters, Doris Adams, Dorothy (Clifford) Gilmore and Aleena Joy Davis; and her brother Walter (Genevieve) Davis.
A private wake will be held for immediate family members.
