Long Time Resident of Freeborn County Died at Home of His Daughter, Mrs. W. A. Brooks Early This Morning.

T.N. Brown, a well known resident of this county, passed away this morning about three o'clock at his home on Lake Boulevard in Oakwood Park. He was 86 years of age at the time of his death.

Mr. Brown was a prominent farmer of Freeborn County, having resided for about 33 years four miles west of this city. He came to this vicinity with his parents from Wisconsin, and with them settled near Beaver Lake, where he lived for years until coming to Freeborn County to farm.

He retired about 15 years ago and purchases his comfortable home where his death occurred. Mrs. Brown preceded him in death just a little over a year ago.

Mr. Brown had been in good health until about a year ago. For the past five months he has been very poorly, being in bed most of the time under the care of his daughter, Mrs. W.A. Brooks.

He is survived by nine children, Mrs. H.Z. Nelson, Mrs. W.A. Brooks, and J.N. Brown of this city; I.C. Brown of Mankato; Franklin T. Brown of Nampa, Idaho; Mrs. Calvin Frisbie of Wapeto, Wahington; Mrs. Grace Wilhelm of Arlington, Oregon; Mrs. Carl Heutermann of near Yakima, Washington and Miss. Gladys I. Brown of Seattle, Washington. Two children, Lyman and Mrs. Lillian Robertson, preceded him in death.

The funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon, and the hour will be announced tomorrow, when arrangements are completed.
