Rosie Lewis was born Sept. 25, 1934 and departed this life on July 23, 2008 at the age of 79 years, 9 months and 3 days. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and was the daughter of Juder Lewis & Helen Couch Lewis. By occupation Rosie was a homemaker and enjoyed going to the Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents: Juder & Helen Couch Lewis; her husband: Cleon Lewis; sisters: Nancy Welch & Mae Rochinski; grand daughter: Regina Kay Calvert; and great grandson: Jaydon Calvert.
She leaves surviving the following relatives; three sons: Johnnie Wayne & Nita Lewis, Donald Ray & Betsy Lewis, and Michael Anthony & Randi Lewis; three daughters: Phyllis Ann & Charlie Smith, Christina Kay & Bob Calvert, Angela Michelle & Kenneth Pervis; four brothers: Clinton, Frank, Thurman and Purl Lewis; three sisters: Sadie Rice, Polly Shaffer & Mildred Freeman; six grandchildren: Charles Calvert Jr, Regina Calvert, Thomas Calvert, Michael Lewis, Chase Taylor & Kenneth Pervis; four great grandchildren: Zachary Calvert, Ryan Calvert, Jaydon Calvert, and Leiland Calvert. She is also survived by a host of other relatives & friends.
