Donna Luella (Ogreen) Bauer of Skyway died Sept. 17, 2000, in Renton. She was 71.
Born March 16, 1929, in Seattle, she married Donald H. Bauer in 1947 in Seattle and had lived in Skyway since 1953.
She was a caterer and also worked as a cook at Skyway Park Bowl and the Basket Case Drive In and for American Building Maintenance. She was a member of the Skyway Ladies Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Renton Eagles Auxiliary 1722. She was active in the Renton School District PTA for more than 20 years, receiving the Acorn Award, and had been a Cub Scout den mother. She enjoyed camping, reading, playing cards, traveling and flower gardening.
Mrs. Bauer is survived by her husband, Donald H. Bauer, of Skyway; sons Donn Bauer of Plano, Texas, Dean Bauer of Bellevue and Duane Bauer of Maple Valley; daughters Diana Syth of Kent and Denise Micek of Renton; sister Lola May Hutchinson of Port Angeles; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Faull-Stokes Mortuary. Burial will be at Tahoma National Cemetery in Maple Valley.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
