Veronica Kay Carlson was born on March 3, 1978, in Heidelberg, Germany, to Wayne and Velda P. (Ames) Hughes. She attended Skiatook High School in Skiatook, Oklahoma, and graduated with the class of 1995. She married Carl Carlson in 1998 in Newkirk, Oklahoma. She enjoyed all animals and riding horses at a younger age. She liked to write in journals, read novels and word search puzzles.
She is survived by her mother, Velda Hughes; two daughters, Alison Carlson and Haley Carlson of Blackwell, Oklahoma; one son, Toby Carlson of Blackwell, Oklahoma, five sisters and 3 brothers.
She was preceded in death by her father; and grandparents, Carl and Olive Ames.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 1st in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with Rev. David Riddick officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
