There was a newspaper clipping dated July 13 1926 in the Foreman Sun. It stated that Louis Mauldin, 16 year old son of L.A. Mauldin, was accidentally shot and killed by Odie Carver, son of Jack Carver, at the residence of Walter Thomas, 2 1/2 miles southeast of here near the Wallace Church. The boys lived in the Wallace church area.
