Mabel Audra Ropp died on Nov. 2 in Cody. She loved fishing and huting with her husband, Frank, and always enjoyed the outdoors.
She was born near Independence, Kan. On July 25, 1906, the daughter of Rueben T. and Martha May Randolph.
She graduated from the Washington School in Independence, Kan. On June 9, 1925 she married Frank S. Ropp at Fredonia, Kan. The ceremony was performed by a blind judge.
Following the marriage they moved to the Salt Creek Oil Fields northwest of Casper to Midwest, Wyo.
To this union was born two daughters, Ellen Roat and Velma House. In May 1942 they moved to Cody.
She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary Lodge No. 818.
Mrs. Ropp is survived by her husband, Frank, one daughter, Ellen Roat of Oakridge, Ore., a sister Ethel Drake of Riverton, Wyo., four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The Rev. R. N. Buswell conducted the funeral service at the Presbyterian Church. Beth Daily was vocalist and Mrs. Laurel Stenlund was the organist.
Pallbearers were Charles Spicer, Sr., Charles Spicer, Jr., Lloyd House, Jess Watts, Mark LaFave and Vern Schrader. Honorary pallbearers were Art Chevalier, Wes Grubb, Adlph Roat, Raymond House, David Moore, Calvin Largent, Clarence House, Stewart Peltier, Freeman Turley and Harvey Trumbull.
Ballard's Funeral Home made arrangements. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
