Wm. H. Blatner
Wm. H. Blatner was born in Wilmington, Ohio, Nov. 4th, 1842, moved to Kentucky with his parents when quite young, came to Missouri in 1865 and was married to Miss Emma Whitehead. To this union was born four children, Wm., Henry, Mrs. Lena Turner, and Lola, the youngest who died several years ago at the age of 16. With the above children, he leaves his widow, one brother, John, Mrs. Whitehead of Wyaconda, Elizabeth Horn and Emma Payne of Boulder, Colo., and Mrs. Laura Schrader of Des Moines, Ia. Albert Blatner, who died less than three weeks ago, was also a brother.
Deceased had for many months been in a critical condition and for years had not been a strong man.
As a man and citizen he ranked among the first and his demise brings sorrow to many who have long and favorably known him. Interment in the Blatner cemetery near the old home.
