Rites Thursday

John J. Angel, 52, died Wednesday, February 10, after an illness of five days. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Bethel Methodist church at 4 p. m. The Rev. Philip L. Green, assisted by the Rev. Lester Sorrells, officiated, and burials was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Angel was a prominent farmer and a member of the Longview Baptist church. He was the son of the late Thomas and Addie Miller Angel.

He is survived by his widow, America Corbin; six sisters, Mrs. Gladys Vinson of Harris, Mrs. Bud Mashburn, Mrs. Link Howell of Rt. 1; Mrs. John Jennings and Mrs. Frank W. Wooten of Cullasaja, Mrs. Frank Davis of Clark’s Chapel; four brothers, David, Charlie and Frank of Franklin and Robert of Cuthbert, Ga.
