She was the daughter of Mary Franklin Townsend and Michael Johnson. Her father died in 1862 in Bolivar Co., MS. Her Mother married Tilman B. Brooks ca. 1867 in MS. Cordelia was married first to a Mr. Woods, no children. She married William C. Robbins (buried in the Henderson City Cem.)as his 2nd wife. On the 1880 Madison Co. census, she had two sons born to her: William Earnest and Walter. Ernest is in the picture with her. It would appear that Walter died as an infant and may be in this cemetery w/o a stone. As of the 1920 Davison Co., TN census, Earnest is living in Nashville, single and is a fireman for the City of Nashville. Before 1930, he has married Margaret Y. Montgomery (widow)and has 2 stepsons.

She had 3 sisters: Anna "Annie" (marr. Macklin M. Robbins), both of whom are buried in the Henderson City Cemetery. Margaret Emma (marr. A. A. Anderson), both of whom are buried in this cemetery. Elizabeth (marr. S. A. Brewster) both of whom are buried in the Old Baptist Cemetery, Hollywood, Jackson Co., AL and her only brother, Marion Lorenzo Johnson (marr. Sarah Washington)both of whom are buried in the Cedar Hills Cemetery, Scottsboro, AL.

She is resting next to her Mother Mary F. Brooks.
